Frequently asked questions

How does it work?
Your PDF is read on your device. When you ask a question, the extracted text and your question are sent for an answer that uses only the document and cites the pages it used. Select a page number to read that page's text and check the answer yourself.
What if the answer isn't in the document?
It says "The document does not say." and, where it can, points to the closest thing the document does cover. It does not fill the gap with outside knowledge.
Can it read scanned PDFs?
Yes. If a PDF has no selectable text, read it with OCR on your device first (free, up to 20 pages), then ask your questions.
Is my text stored?
Not by us. It's sent over an encrypted connection for processing. Our AI provider, Anthropic (Claude), may not train its models on it and deletes it within 30 days, unless it must keep it longer to enforce its usage policy or to comply with the law. We keep only safe usage metadata (operation type, input size, credits used, model name, token counts, and estimated cost) for quota and cost accounting. Token counts are numbers only; we never keep the prompt or output text.
Is this legal or financial advice?
No. It tells you what the document says. For a decision about a contract, a policy or money, ask a qualified professional.
