Is my file uploaded?
No. The text is read from your file in your browser (photos are read with OCR, also in your browser), and only that text is sent, over an encrypted connection, for summarization. The original file never leaves your device.
Do I need an account?
Yes. AI tools run through your account so usage and credits stay yours; browser tools remain free without one.
Is the summary stored?
Your latest summary is saved in this browser so you can restore it after a reload. Your file and its extracted text are not saved by this tool. The extracted text is sent to our AI provider to write the summary: Our AI provider, Anthropic (Claude), may not train its models on it and deletes it within 30 days, unless it must keep it longer to enforce its usage policy or to comply with the law. Dismiss the restore prompt to remove the saved summary, or clear this site's browser storage.
