What you get

  • A brief summary of two or three sentences, then a detailed summary of the whole deck.
  • The key points as bullets, and the important terms the deck uses.
  • Action items, when the slides contain any. If they do not, that section is left out rather than invented.
  • Copy the summary, or download it as Word, Markdown or plain text, or as a PDF for Latin-script languages.

Works best with

  • Decks with real text on the slides: quarterly reviews, training material, lecture slides, pitch decks.
  • Slide text is read in your browser. Speaker notes, and text inside images or charts, are not part of the summary.
  • Before you spend a credit, Review extracted text shows exactly what will be summarized.
  • A deck that is mostly pictures gives a short summary. If the substance is in the presenter's notes, copy them out and use Paste text instead of File.

How it works

  1. Open the AI Summarizer and choose File

    Sign in and drop the .pptx in. The slides are read on your device.

  2. Check what was read

    Open Review extracted text to see the slide text. A deck that is mostly images will show little here.

  3. Summarize

    Run it and read the summary, key points and action items. Copy it into an email or download it.

Frequently asked questions

Are speaker notes and charts included in the summary?
No. The summarizer reads the text on each slide. Speaker notes, and words that are part of an image or a chart, are not read, so a deck that keeps its detail there gives a shorter summary.
What language is the summary in?
The language of the slides. A deck in Spanish gets a Spanish summary.
Is the deck uploaded?
No. The .pptx is opened in your browser and only its text is sent, encrypted, to Anthropic (Claude) for the summary. Your latest summary is kept in this browser so a reload does not lose it.
