Turn PowerPoint slides into flashcards
Upload a .pptx lecture deck and get cards that turn its bullet points into questions you answer from memory.
- Needs a free account
- Text is processed by Anthropic (Claude)
- Encrypted in transit
What you get
- Question-and-answer cards that turn terse slide bullets into full questions, using only what the slides say.
- A study guide that gathers the deck's main points under headings, so forty slides read as one page.
- Learn, a practice test and Match to drill the cards, and a multiple-choice quiz.
- Save the kit to your study sets for spaced-repetition review in this browser, or download the cards for Anki or Quizlet.
Works best with
- .pptx files, including decks exported from Keynote or downloaded from Google Slides as PowerPoint. Older .ppt files are not read; save them as .pptx first.
- Only the text on the slides is read. Speaker notes, and words inside pictures, charts or diagrams, are left out.
- A slide that only says "Krebs cycle" makes a thin card. After uploading, add your own lecture notes to the box and the cards can use both.
How it works
Upload the deck to the Study Kit
Sign in, choose Upload a file and pick the .pptx. The slide text is read in your browser and shown in the box.
Fill the gaps the slides leave
Paste any notes from the lecture under the slide text, then pick 10, 15 or 20 cards and a difficulty.
Build and revise
Select Build my study kit. Start with the flashcards, then let Learn mode repeat the ones you miss.
Example
Illustrative example: one slide of bullets and two of the cards it could produce.
Input
Supply and demand • Price rises → quantity demanded falls • Shortage when price is below equilibrium
Output
- Q: What happens to quantity demanded when the price rises? A: It falls.
- Q: When does a shortage occur? A: When the price is below the equilibrium price.
Frequently asked questions
Does it read my speaker notes?
No. Only the text on the slides themselves is read. If the explanations live in your speaker notes, copy them into the box after uploading so the cards can use them.
Can I print the cards?
Yes. Print cards puts six cards on each A4 or US Letter sheet. Print the fronts, put the sheets back in to print the backs on the reverse, then cut along the dashed lines.
Can I use an old .ppt file?
Not directly. The study kit reads .pptx. Open the file in PowerPoint, Keynote or Google Slides and save or download it as .pptx, then upload that.
What happens to my slides?
The deck is opened in your browser and only its slide text is sent, encrypted, to Anthropic (Claude) to write the cards. The .pptx file is never sent, and we do not store the text.
