What you get

  • A multiple-choice quiz written from the PDF, with three or four options per question and the right answer marked.
  • A practice test drawn from the kit's flashcards: you choose the number of questions, up to one per card, and the question types: written, multiple choice and true or false.
  • A new paper on every attempt, with no hints and the grade given once, at the end.
  • The flashcards and a study guide from the same run, for going back over what you got wrong.

Works best with

  • Reading-list PDFs, handouts and exported lecture notes whose text you can select.
  • A PDF made by a scanner or a phone camera is an image of each page, and this tool needs the words themselves.
  • Quiz one chapter or section per run. It keeps the questions on the part you are revising and stays within the text limit.

How it works

  1. Upload the PDF to the Study Kit

    Sign in, choose Upload a file and pick the PDF you are revising from.

  2. Pick 20 cards for a longer test

    The practice test asks at most one question per card, so a 20-card kit allows the longest paper.

  3. Take the quiz, then the practice test

    Select Build my study kit. Try the Quiz tab, then open Practice test, choose the question types and start.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the quiz and the practice test?
The quiz is a fixed set of multiple-choice questions written about your PDF. The practice test is generated from the flashcards: you choose its length and question types, and every attempt is a different paper.
How long can the practice test be?
Up to one question per flashcard, so at most 20 from a 20-card kit. Choose 20 cards before you build the kit if you want the longest test.
Does my PDF get stored anywhere?
No. The PDF is read in your browser and stays there; its text goes, encrypted, to Anthropic (Claude) to write the questions, and we do not keep it. A kit you save stays in this browser.
